  The Band Closed off Saturday night at the Mountain Jam Festival with their first show scheduled in 2011. Frontman Warren Haynes promised the crowd a crazy night, and didnt disappoint, leading off with Railroad Boy and Thorazine Shuffle. Mule played a lengthy number of covers in the first set, including ZZ Tops Nasty Dogs And Funky Kings, The Whos Wont Get Fooled Again, and closed the first set with Black Sabbaths War Pigs. The second set also featured several covers, including the lead-off Money and Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones Angie. The highlight of the night was a lengthy 32/20 Blues, which featured Cody Dickinson on electric washboard, Luther Dickinson on guitar, and Hook Herrera on harmonica.

The energetic concert featured such fan favorites as Monkey Meet and River Run, which included an Over Under Sideways Down tease by guitarist Dave Malone. After a lengthy set the band came back out for an encore featuring a rendition of The Radiators original Confidential that segued into a cover of Willie Dixons blues classic Back Door Man. iClips.com streamed all three nights, and will keep these shows in their streaming archive until June 17.

  In March of 2010, the members of Soulive hauled their instruments through the doors of a newly-opened warehouse-turned-music venue in Brooklyn that they would call home for the next two weeks. Eric Krasno, Alan Evans and Neal Evans called on a multitude of their closest friends and musical conspirators to join them over the next fortnight - creating an incredibly broad guest lineup that included some of the pre-eminent guitar virtuosos of our generation (Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes), some of the biggest names in hip-hop (Questlove, Rahzel), and some of the most inventive improvisational players in modern rock n' roll (Robert Randolph, Marco Benevento, Oteil & Kofi Burbridge). The Brooklyn Bowl quickly became the mecca for these very distinct yet like-minded musicians, where they returned night after night, donning the dress code for good times (bowling shoes) and sharing famous Blue Ribbon fried chicken. The common thread that tied together all these disparate ingredients quickly became palpable -- from the transcendental heartfelt improvisations onstage to the homey & playful atmosphere provided by the bowling alley, the Soulive residency was like nothing that had come before it because all of those diverse elements fused to ultimately bring the Soul to Brooklyn Bowl.

Between the archival scenes and contemporary interviews with band members, the program shows a band making seismic in roads in pop music and five young guys coming to terms with artistry, mortality, and, yes, the pursuit of happiness. There is priceless footage of Neal Cassady driving Ken Kesey's bus and of the Dead, surrounded by martini sipping hipsters, on Playboy After Dark. The best scenes involve band members talking about specific songs (you will never hear Phil Lesh's "Box of Rain" again without thinking of it as a gift to his dying father) or deconstructing a tune by playing each track separately. Intimate and surprisingly cohesive, Anthem to Beauty is a rare glimpse into how the Dead's magic was made.

  In the summer of 1970, some of the era’s biggest rock stars took to the rails for Festival Express, a multi-artist, multi-city concert tour that captured the spirit and imagination of a generation. What made it unique was that it was portable; for five days, the bands and performers lived, slept, rehearsed and let loose aboard a customized train that traveled from Toronto, to Winnipeg, to Calgary, with each stop culminating in a mega-concert. The entire experience was filmed both off-stage and on, but the extensive footage and sound tapes of the events remained locked away for decades, only recently having been rediscovered and restored. The film Festival Express is a momentous achievement in rock film archaeology which combines the long-lost material with contemporary interviews that add important context to the event nearly 35 years after originally being filmed.

  Move Me Brightly captures a number of interviews and landmark performances to honor late Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia's would-be 70th birthday. The film - directed by Justin Kreutzmann, the son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann - is based around a gathering at Bob Weir's TRI Studios in California, which features fellow Grateful Dead members and guest appearances from musicians who came together to celebrate Garcia's life and career.
  
  This rock tribute includes appearances by fellow Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Donna Jean Godchaux along with Garcia family members and guests including Carlos Santana, Furthur's Joe Russo & Jeff Chimenti, Phish's Mike Gordon, Black Crowes' Adam MacDougall, Vampire Weekend's Chris Tomson, Yellowbirds Sam Cohen & Josh Kaufman and many more.

  In the first of three sold out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Widespread Panic, currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, dazzled devoted fans with an old-school show that lasted close to three hours.
  
  It seemed appropriate that they kicked off the show with "Postcards," with its line: This town is nuts, my kind of place, I dont want to leave. Given the love the band and fans have for Red Rocks shows, it sometimes feels like they could simply play every summer show there and the fans would journey from around the country to see them.
  
  On "Ribs and Whiskey," lead guitarist Jimmy Herring picked piercing trills over lead vocalist John Bells sultry, lazy slide playing while bassist Dave Schools laid down a funky groove underneath. Out of a long jam, percussionist Domingo Sunny Ortiz took a little solo and then locked in with Schools on the intro to the instrumental, "Party At Your Mama's House."
  
  As the band closed out with a fiery "Radio Child," Bell stepped up and said they'd see everybody tomorrow night. The amphitheater then got turned into a disco, as the house lights mimicked a disco ball and the PA blared Michael Jacksons "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," a perfect backing track for fans to dance down to their cars.

  A band that doesn't repeat set lists and likes to stretch things out, you'll never know which show will be THE show that every fan will wish they had been at. Saturday night, their second of a three-night run at Red Rocks, Widespread Panic hit higher heights than they did the previous night.
  By the time the band took the stage at 7:50 p.m., the energy among the fans was electric. Panic wasted no time delivering the goods, opening with a one-two punch of "Sometimes" and "North." Dave Schools stepped up with a bass break during the former, and lead guitarist Jimmy Herring and keyboardist John "JoJo" Hermann traded singing solos and rolling fills on the latter.

  From the opening note of "Wondering" all the way through to the set closing "Conrad," the band owned the opportunity. Sandwiched in between the opener and a divine "C. Brown," a very leggy "Surprise Valley" overwhelmed the crowd with an almost-anthemic presence. "Kiss the mountain air we breathe" sounds good standing anywhere, but beneath "ship" and "Creation" rocks it evoked magic. All weekend the boys in the band had worn smiling faces, but early in the day it was easy to see that Sunday "Funday" was going to be enchanting.
  
  Words can difficultly describe the bands energy on this last day. As the band masterfully wielded a "Bowlegged Woman" into "Lawyers, Guns and Money," it started to become apparent that the second set would be no ordinary picnic. Call them fan favorites, Halloween treats, illustrious tour gems, whatever you want, but don't expect to hear "Mama Told Me Not to Come," "Knocking Around the Zoo" and "Walk On" in consecutive order too often. The only seemingly botched moment in the whole afternoon was a "Guilded Splinters" that by most standards was still great but just seemed to be lost for a bit before being revitalized by some
