I don’t know what’s more exciting, the fact that we’re announcing our first original series or the fact that we can’t wait to watch the next episode.

First, the news… We’ve teamed up with Red Light Management, Concord Records, O.A.R., and the brilliant filmmaker, Peter Harding, to bring you a first-of-its-kind weekly series that uncovers the mysterious process of songwriting – in real time.

We all have favorite songs. You know the ones. Imagine being in the room with the artists as those songs were written. What was Eddie Vedder doing when he wrote “Release?” What about Robert Plant while writing “Stairway to Heaven?” Where did the Beatles write “A Day in a Life?” Was it one stream of thought or did it take months?

Evolution of a Song brings music fans behind the curtain as a band or artist tackles the process of creating, what they hope to be, their next big hit. And we couldn’t be happier to be launching our first season with the seasoned songwriting veterans, O.A.R.

Marc Roberge and the boys are currently working on a song that they plan to include in their upcoming album (Aug.) and they plan to perform throughout their summer tour. The clock is ticking and we’ve got cameras rolling.

So come along for the ride and watch the Evolution of a Song.
